Dunja's Journey

Dunja Vukosavovic is a burgeoning artist with a simple goal: to reach, unite, and inspire her listeners. A survivor of civil war, she emigrated from Yugoslavia to New York in 1999, fending for herself with very little money, and no friends or family by her side. Vukosavovic would ultimately defy those odds, accumulating a vast skill set including film, TV, and commercial scoring with a team of established directors and music producers. Eventually, she landed gigs in such prestigious venues as the Archdiocese of New York, the White House, and even the United Nations.
Under the artist name Dunja World, she penned “One,” a clearly-conveyed, resonant anthem, ideal for celebrating triumph over the most detrimental circumstance. Its instrumental body combines classic new age synth tones reminiscent of Clannad, with a modern pop accessibility. Elevated through this involvement is Dunja’s voice, soaring with bold, yet warmly assuring vibrato that gives the presentation a rightful dose of soul. All too often, a song’s sheer inspirational factor is just what we need in our lives. |
